30 Minute Stuffed Animal -- Bean Bag Chair

If your kids are anything like mine, they have a million stuffed animals and not enough places to keep them all.  I thought of buying a plastic tote to keep them in but then you need space to put the tote. So, I decided to make a Bean Bag Chair Cover to put the animals into giving the kids a place to sit and a place to store their animals.

What you'll need:

2 pieces of fabric, 22" Velcro or zipper, stuffed animals or 3.5 cubic feet bean bag filling

Steps:

  1. Cut 2 pieces of fabric into 45"x 32" rectangles
  2. Turn right sides together - on the long raw edges zigzag stitch to prevent fraying, then straight stitch to close the same edges

     3. Fold the fabric in half matching up the sewn edges
     4. Starting from the folded edge, round one end, removing approximately 6" of fabric from the corner

5. Open the fabric up zigzag the raw edge then again use your straight stitch to close

          6. Open the remaining unsewn edge.  Sew in your 22" zipper or Velcro. I would use the zipper closure if you are filling the bag with bean bag filling otherwise Velcro will be sufficient
7. Turn your bean bag chair right side out and fill.

I hope you love it as much as my kids!

XOXO
